Coach,
Great Post! We are really enjoying your site as a coaching staff.
I had one question and I'm sure it's just a difference in terminology. What is the Search route that you mentioned that you are looking for as the BSWR is blocking on the BS of Veer.
Thanks a lot!

Coach, Great Post! We are really enjoying your site as a coaching staff. I had one question and I'm sure it's just a difference in terminology. What is the Search route that you mentioned that you are looking for as the BSWR is blocking on the BS of Veer. Thanks a lot! Thanks Coach, glad you are getting something out of the blogs. Search is what we run almost standard on the backside now on Veer PAP for routes like Switch. The Search route basically tries to get into the void created by the PSS running down to pitch, etc. People have basically 2 ways to try to stop Switch route, which is Tube route by PSWR and Wheel route by PSA. 1. They will try to roll secondary and have BSS get over the Tube route by the PSWR and have CB carry the Tube and then come off to the Wheel by the PSA. 2. The PSCB will run with Tube route and PSS will run down to pitch and then try to run with Wheel route when he reads pass. BSS will also try to get over the top of the Tube.

Thanks a lot! So if I understand correctly the BSWR is just going to find the hole in the defense on the Search Route rather than having a defined route such as a 12 yd dig or 10 yd post.

Basically yes. He will read that PSS to determine what he does on the route, but he should end up at 12-14 yds over the PST. It will be right in the QBs vision. If Switch is cloudy, it's almost like a check down. Wide open most of the time.
